| I would honestly prefer a 4AC engine to go in my daughter's 1985 Corolla DX. I am working on this car with her as a project. Because of this, I would like to spend as little as possible. I live in Beaumont, TX. Thanks! | |

| Glad you found it, I hope you find what you are looking for. Does her car have no motor currently? Since you want a running one im assuming you dont want to have to bother with rebuilding it or taking it apart or anything major like that, so im not sure this would interest you, however ill mention it anyway. The 4ac head can bolt onto the 1.8 7afe corolla block(which are fairly easy and cheap to come by), you'll need an 85 colt timing belt if I remember correctly, but other than that, its pretty much a direct swap with the bonus of a little extra displacement. You can find more info on it if you search the forum, its known as a 7ac. Just wanted to let you know in case you cant find a full 4ac swap or anything else you are looking for or maybe just decide to put something together to make it a fun and more educational project. | |
