| I know this has been argued alot but I think that ae86 (and I am probably wrong but I'm having a hard time researching it) but isn't "ae86" like a chassis code or body code like ae92 or ae82 etc. Because some people today who I think were closed minded and don't know much told me that only the gts was an ae86 and that the sr5 was not. So if you guys could fill me and clear this up that would be great thanks guys. | |

| They are both AE86 chassis cars. The VIN for SR5 in US starts JT2AE86 and GTS in US starts JT2AE88. AE85 was never sold in US, it was a 1.5 3AC.
If anyone doubts your car is an AE86, just pop the hood and show them the VIN placard on the firewall. | |
