Yeah, the Factory Service Manuals are awesome and are a necessity.
I don't know Corona's, but all Denso alternators should be rebuildable without much trouble. If it's like my Corolla alternator, you have to solder the voltage regulator in, but everything else is a breeze. And a rebuilt Denso is much more reliable than a new aftermarket.
All the Aisan carbs of that era are tricky, but for my Corolla, there are 30 pages of fully illustrated instructions on a rebuild in the service manual.
