Getting Some Radials. What size? Empty

I'm going to buy some tires for my 83' Corolla Wagon AE72, it has the Supra P-Type 14x7 Wheels and wanted to know the fattest tire I can toss on there.

I was thinking 225/60/14 for the rear and 205/60/14 for the front. Would those fit?

I currently have 185/60/14, and they have that stretched look, something I'm not too into. (especially with something like a 60...)

I'll probably get BFG Radial T/A, they still make the 14's and I've always loved supra rims with the white letters.

225 is a tad wide, a 185/60 will not be stretched you would need to do something crazy, like 155/55 165/55 which would be motorcycle status. I ran 185/60s on my Ptypes and had no problem with it, 195/60 is nice as well.

As for the 225 in the rear it would most likely rub, my mate had a 225 tyre on his 15x7.5 Equips and we would cheese grate the tyres when we had a third passenger!!!

185, 195, and 205 would be safe to run I've ran all of those 205 is a bit pushing it but it will work.

Hope this helps!

Cheers
