| I'll start first, I love the sound of the 4AC even though it pales in comparison with the 4AG. However, it seems like a fast motor, when I'm alone in the car, entering the freeway the I watch the speedometer climb steadily, not bad. | |

| Having still not driven or even started mine, I have to say the simplicity. The last car I really worked on was turbocharged and direct-injected. Kind of a daunting set up to try to crack. | |

| I have to agree with simplicity... I don't like direct fuel injection because there is too much to mess with... I am lazy | |

| I love my 4AC engine because it keeps running! Haven't had any problems with the engine. I love the way it revvs into high RPM's and it pulls hard for a all stock small ol'skool car.
I love keeping up with bigger faster cars! And I find it funny mashing away from "tuners". Toyota "had" it pat-down.

| simplicity once again like every one else and its kind of funny when show up on a road and literally pown a subi, 240 or a heavily modded vtecker, the first thing they say is "is that a gts?" | |

| Yeah I love the little 4AC, I was on the highway today keeping up with a Mustang. With the new Weber even at 85+ mph, the engine wants to keep going faster...its just amazing. | |

| What I like about it is that I'm always impressed and amused by what it can do rather than upset by what it can't. And I've learned a lot about engines just by trying to figure out all it's crazy emissions stuff. | |

| what i like about the engine is that not too many people know the hidden potential in it.. a while ago i was heading to work in my car and a newer civic pulled up at me at a stop light.. i must adknowledge that i thought my ass was going to be handed to me if i raced.. but i raced him anyway... he took me, accelerating way faster than my car but my car just kept going and catching up in the long way ( i had to be doing 90 miles per hour in a 45mile per hour area, lol ).. and passed him up...(i think he started sandbagging a lil though), but i just can't wait until the 4 ac is fully finished. | |

| The person in the civic must have had a built engine. Either super charged but I doubt it was turbo or else you wouldn't have had a chance ahaha
Reason I say he must have had a built engine because my car keeps up with(stock, assuming)civics all day. My front bumper doesn't pass there back bumper. And I do pass them time to time...but for a bone stock 4ac I'm happy =]

| I really appreciate the versatility of the engine.. I like the "One block fits all" idea that Toyota had. It brings me back to my youth when I owned Datsun 510's where it was the same idea. As long as you had an L series engine, a part from this engine, a part from that engine, a tranny from that car, some volvo parts, and you have something special. And you only spend 200 bux to boot.
The more and more I'm discovering this "junk-yard-ability", the more and more I love the 4a's.
I'm all about cheap fun, and the 4AC engine foots that bill nicely.

| 8 valves sound better than 16! High tech efficiency be damned, rugged reliability forever. | |

| I like the 8 valve torque. My mostly stock 4AC from a stop puts my head back just as hard as my 130bhp Escort. Using NP75's dyno, (weber 32/36, 260 cam, header, 2,25 exhaust) the 4AC can make just as much, if not more, low end power/torque as a bolt-on 4AGE.
Plus I love being unique and not doing what everybody else is doing. And you just can't kill the damn thing......I've tried, lol.

I agree ive tried as well it just seems like it wants to go forever and mine has no mods other than a breather and flipped cleaner lid but i do love the lil bit of torque its got

| I probably have a blown head gasket, but I can run the car for hours cruising at 80mph high way and the water gauge will never exceed 40%! | |
