My 1984 SR5'S 4AC has 315K. It's time to overhaul it, but can't just park the car in my wife's garage for a year while I work on it in my free weekends.
I'm looking for a simple swapper, low cost, that will be a reliable daily commuter for a decade or more. I know 3TC's make a simple upgrade, so am on the lookout. Anybody know what other common, carbed, Toyota engines will fit under the hood of an AE86? 18R, 20R, 22R?
