| My car is underpowered of course bein its almost stock. Its a 86 1/2 Corolla FWD 4dr (AE82). I have done basic tune up, flipped air cleaner upside down and put a turbo univ muffler on it. I only paid $200 for the car and it had 160k so it wasnt a bad deal. I dont have a whole lot of money but i cant leave ANYTHING stock... I seem to be having major carb issues when car is not at normal opperating temps. It pretty much just chokes out and falls on its face. Any easy fixes or am i lookin to rebuild or replace carb. Also any other easy mods or even good junkyard upgrades would be appreciated. pics are soon to come. | |

| Since you're wanting more power AND having carb issues already, I would definitely suggest a Weber carb upgrade. | |

| i would either rebuild the carb or go with a weber. though the stock engine makes plenty of power, well it does on my 84 sr5, can get to 80 mph with ease. | |

| second the idea on the weber. gas mileage is awesome and gives the 4ac a little more pep. | |

| Cheap and easy: Get a second carb from the junk yard and rebuild that.... Always best to have a few carbs if you are rebuilding something 20+ years old Expensive and good: Get the weber... It involves some fabrication and creativity, but totally worth it Cheap, easy, reliable... Pick 2. | |
