| In my FWD 'rolla, the exhaust manifold is inches from the firewall. It can get hot. Just imaging once I put a turbo there | |

| That doesn't surprise me, the exhaust goes right under there. Maybe add some more heat shielding or get an extra floor mat. | |

| Left hand drive messes a lot of things up. Exhaust under the drivers feet is one. Make sure your heat shields are present. Sometimes they get removed if they start to make noise. I pulled one off on my 240 and it is very uncomfortable to drive barefoot. I've never noticed the Corolla having a hot floorboard though. | |

| ive noticed the same thing in fact the whole cabin gets pretty hot ive been thinking of exhaust wrap all the way to the cat expensive but i think it may be beneficial long term that and its pretty noisy in the cabin so i think dynomat might help with noise and cabin heat as well again pricey but i think it might be worth it | |

ive noticed that too, i cant drive in the summer time with out having my windows rolled down. but its nice in winter time, i barely need to use the heater. and as far as i can tell the heat sheilds are still there

| yeah my heat shield is present as well i think the undercarrige is just thin i noticed on mine that there are reminents of some sort of coating underneath almost like a spray on liner you would find in a truck bed i wonder if that use to be like a heat resistant/ protectant | |

im pretty sure its the remains of undercoating from the factory. mine has some here and there. it might have helped with the heat.

| I'm pretty sure on long time frame drives the old corollas always had that problem, just with age it may seem more so. | |

| Mine has always gotten hot, but I also have never driven that car with carpet. Pretty sure the carpet helps a little, but my 240 is carpeted, and it still gets hotter than hell. | |

| I havent noticed any heat yet but then mine still has all of the factory coating under the car and the heatshield plus all carpet and floormats so that might help with mine not getting hot | |
