| Hi, I'm planning on putting in a hood scoop for my car, as I believe the air flow would be improved, and more air can flow into my carb, which I hope will give me more power. However the only thing stopping me from doing so is the fact that I'm worried that the rain will damage the components in the engine bay ie. dizzy, and carb. What do you guys think? | |

| I think a drop vent hood would be the best bet. It has a very low scoop right after the radiator that sucks the air through the radiator and out the hood. There are no electric components in the front of the engine, so you'll be ok. Plus that hot air from the radiator will be gone so underhood temps will be lower. Plus it's baller carbon fiber! | |

| He is running a FWD ae82... so no carbon fiber drop vent hoods for him You may be able to do it, but it may not be the best of ideas... maybe do like a snorkle thing and pull the air from the front of the car... | |
