My AE86 is most of the things people say are bad about the SR5, tallest gearing (3.9), no power, no revs, drum brakes, open diff. Basically stock except springs and wheels/tires.
But don't let people tell you your car is worthless just because of that stuff... I beat both S2000s and 7 out of 18 Miatas at various stages of tuning at my very first autocross...

Completely stock internals, 180k miles... weber carb. Don't over-cam your 4ACs. If I ever get a cam it will be the 260-70.

I think I did alright, but my tires... they are about to be retired. Pun intended.

Well, the 86 makes a pretty sweet 2wd rallyx car. Beat every RWD car there besides one of the darn Miatas, and beat all of the Prepared class FWD cars too! (if you don't count the cone they counted against me that was actually from the previous car haha.) Also had some problems with it popping out of gear over the bumps, making me have to drive with one hand always on the shifter to keep it in gear, but it was a blast!
