| I dont live in cali so dont quote me, but as far as I know, webers will not pass smog, they delete a lot of the emissions. | |

| The carb isnt that hard to swap around, you could keep your stock carb and install the weber and have fun, around smog time, just put your stock carb back on and when you pass throw the weber on again.
You can also modify the stock carb to perform like a weber, but i dont know if it will pass smog. | |

| How exactly would I make the stock carb act as a webber flip the springs? | |

| I have done the homework and can tell you that they are definitely not California legal. If you can make it look stock though, there might be a chance that you will pass emissions. Luckily these cars are old enough that they can't connect them to a computer. | |

| The weber's don't carry a CARB tag and aren't smog legal, but I think most smog techs are looking for all the emissions components in place and anything that looks aftermarket. If you stuck with a stock looking air cleaner and kept all the vacuum hose spaghetti and left your egr and evap systems hooked up you might get away with it. They do pressure test the evap system and do a vacuum test on egr (in my county at least), so that stuff would have to still work. | |
