How to Reattach SR5 Badge Empty
PostSubject: How to Reattach SR5 Badge   How to Reattach SR5 Badge EmptySun Jun 15, 2014 9:35 pm

Ok, so the SR5 badge on my AE86 was placed on the wrong side of the car when it got repainted a long time ago (long before I got the car).

Here's a picture of the badge I'm talking about:

On my car it's on the passenger side, but every picture I've seen online shows it on the driver side.

I found the following pictures for reference:

Does anyone have suggestions on what glue I should use when reapplying this badge to my car?

I noticed in the factory service manual it shows steps for removing the plastic side trim, but it doesn't say what adhesive to use.

Thanks!

Yoi can use double sided tape. Just make sure both surfaces are clean before you apply the tape.

Hmm... I guess that could work. The double-sided tape I have in my drawer sucks though, lol Razz

Do you think guys use double-sided tape for the plastic side trim as well?

3M makes a automotive grade double sided tape for trim and such. Just make sure that both surfaces are nice and clean. Something like this: 3M tape on amazon
