CAM/Timing Empty
PostSubject: CAM/Timing   CAM/Timing EmptyWed Apr 24, 2013 7:15 pm

So im just messin around here, but cranks set a 0, cam is a hair towards the left arrow behind cam ggear, the car starts idles runs drives, but
for it to run right(in my opinion) i have to have my dizzy cranked all the way advanced.. this is the way it currently is right now

crank set at 0 cam is set towards right arrow behind cam gear, in my opinion, this set up was prime, but i think i may of had the cam a little too far that direction because it was a power house to about 4k rpm then it would basically sputter an not go any higher in the rpm in gear, I REALLLY liked this way, the car sounded like it had balls, it had a lopey but consistant idle,
ive got a feelin that this way had all the focus in the lower rpm, but if thats the case i dont mind setting it like this for just cruising around, hell it may even help with gas mileage

tried to explain as if you were standing in front of the car looking toward your sr5 motor(mines an FX)

im no motor guru, im just messin around with my cheap little car learning like alot of us

now, help me, hurt me, whatever you gotta do just taalkk to me people Smile

worst comes to worst though ill just set it all back by the book

If your not going to degree the cam properly you should just set it to factory spec., otherwise your just guessing.
