I think years ago i did. what i remember, is that it is free to sign up, and there are two levels of sponsorship.
I can't remember the difference, but I do know that when you were sponsored by a company, carsponsors.com charge you $99. Consider it a service to find companies looking to sponsor cars. I know when you sign up with a company, there are certain things you have to do. I think the lower level is to attend X number of shows, while the top level is having to attend a lot. Plus side is you get a lot more stuff with the top sponsorship.

This was around 2008, so I dunno if it has changed since then.

Well I went a head and applied got an email back a little while ago says I was approved for the top level sponsorship. I still have to pay the fee but not too sure if this is legit or not.

I think thats the jist, they get people in wiht the whole "approval" thing, then take your money when you select a sponsor. I never went beyond that, so I dunno if it really works. I do know that real sponsorship don't work that way lol
