| I got a FSM today for a '87 FWD Corolla. Of course the transmission stuff is useless to me, but most of the body electrical and all the engine and fuel systems are the same. $10 shipped is waaay better than close to a hundred bucks for one for a AE86.
I have the Haynes, too, BTW. I've used Haynes manuals for my other cars; so I can find stuff easier since they're all laid out the same. But the FSM is much more in depth and you know it will always be accurate. Haynes says you have to remove the cam to remove the head; I haven't checked what the FSM says though.

| The weird thing is, I have yet to see a 4AC in any of the AE86 FSMs. I have a lot of FMS, but nothing for a RWD 4AC. The only trace on the engine is in the electrical manual for the AE86. Even there it's only under the wire routing and connector locations for the engine bay. If someone has info for a RWD 4AC FSM (being alone or part of a specific car's manual) let me know. I will be looking into my vehicles FSM ('83 corolla), but have yet to find a PDF of it. | |

I will be looking into my vehicles FSM ('83 corolla), but have yet to find a PDF of it. My 1984 RWD FSM has the 4AC in it. Example page: 4AC Emission Systems Title: Toyota Corolla FR 1984 Repair Manual Publication Number: 36220A First Issue: August 30, 1983

| I was placing bets to see if yota used that pic in any other books. I'm thinking of altering that pic to show my version of emissions. | |
