i swap engines and all gaskets.. timimg belt components blah blah..
idk if its a vacuum line or something butis pissing me off.
i have a 3838 weber carb i believe( car came with it and i swap it to the new engine)

Sounds like a pretty bad vacuum leak, or fuel issues.

That's how Corollas say they love you. It's just telling you happy Valentines day.

Let me guess - it idles really roughly when it's cold, and as soon as the choke kicks out, it dies as soon as you try to idle it? That's probably a vacuum leak. When my '87 was doing it, the problem was the missing HIC hose. It drove me insane for years until I realized I was missing a hose whilst looking up an unrelated procedure.

Could be a weak fuel pump, I'm almost certain of it actully.

It could be a vacuum hose (my leak was, specifically, the HIC hose which runs from the bottom of the carburettor to the HAI on the air cleaner), it could be an ill-fitting carburettor or a carburettor with a bad diaphragm on one of the valves, or any number of things. I would check to ensure all vacuum lines are present and in good condition first.

I checked the vacuum lines ad they are fine. Idk about the diaphragm. But at fist star and for the first 10-20 min is fine. Inly does hen i dont give it gas, today it dies 6 times and i have to keep it in gear and/or giving gas. I will check the carburattor ( which seems to be pretty new, it came wit the car) but i will also replace my fuel pump( i have the electrical one)
