Windshield Keeps Leaking and rusting

Hi I had my windshield replaced because I had a crack in it (last Year), when the man took the old one off it had rust under it where the windscreen seats, he just put the black silicone shit and put in a new windscreen, well it kept leaking so I got my dad to put some black windscreen silicone around the windscreen to stop the leaking.

It has just started leaking again and I can see a little speck or rust, so I am getting my windscreen removed so I can give it a light sand and apply rust converter, then I am gonna paint it with some rust kill paint in a spray can then I am gonna use primer and sand it smooth, then apply the touch up spray paint. Does anyone believe this will fix my issue because I plan to keep my car as a daily driver for several years more?? and don't want it to leak water or rust anymore!

It should help. Usually they leak at the top where the rubber starts to pop out. I hope the windshild is cheaper where your at cause there $300 plus US dollars here.

I got it done about 3 months ago and it has completely fixed my problem! only $195 for new windscreen (supplied and fitted) they even come to your house!! But all together it cost $535 for all paint, sanding equipment etc!

out of curiousity, when the old windsheild was removed, and the rust noticed, was the rust removed. The rust still could be there, and could be growing.

no I completely cleaned it up with a wire wheel and sealed everything! Shouldnt come back for a long long time! oh and the windshield guy put on a new rubber seal all around the windshield so it keeps just about all water from underneath!!
