| Hey guys,
My name's Mike, I'm bartering a paint job on an MR2 for an '86 SR5. I'm here in Asheville, work at Advance and am finishing up a business plan to open up a shop doing full custom builds, regular maintenance and anything in between. I'm going to school for Mechanical Engineering and am working with 8Ton on the flanges, headers and intakes project for these motors. I just finished the prototype drawing for our manifold flange and I'll send it off today to get it cut out.
Me and my partners are capable of almost anything so we're happy to work any custom jobs that you may need, just give me a shout!
Cheers. Mike | |

| Excellent! Great to have you Mike. Wish I lived down south in the mountains again, I'd look you up. | |

| Good to have more Southern folk in here! Maybe one day, many years from now, my car will run well enough to meet up in the mountains and we can run Deal's Gap. | |

That, sounds like fun. But even my bartered toyota isn't quite roadworthy yet. We are getting there though!

| I took mine up there a couple years ago with the old engine, found all the issues lol. Spent more time on the shoulder than the road lol. I was having both fuel supply and pressure issues with the Weber carb, crappy Mr Gasket fuel pump, and no name pressure regulator. It's all Holley and Mikuni now lol. | |

At my store we have those Mr. Gasket electric pumps. Knowing how they operate and their price I wouldn't even touch them. My 7A that me and 8Ton transplanted into my corolla actually has a Weber 2 barrel and after I made the throttle bracket for it I haven't had any problems with it except for a choke that doesn't close. Although I haven't exactly driven the car for any great length.

| Yeah I think the pump was working intermittently. It would always make noise but maybe not always make gas. After it all sat for a year (took forever to do the new motor) it wouldn't move a drop so I trashed it and bought a Holley red label pump. | |

| That sounds like it would work a little better, I'm running a new factory mechanical pump. No problems but still, I haven't got more than 20 miles on it since it became mine. | |

I keep promising my daughter (88 turbo Supra) we'll do it together. Speaking of supras, I wanted to bring this by the forum. It's not powered by a 4AC, but it is a toyota! This was one of my dads one off builds in '90. youtu.be/73U2RKppU4E Edit: You'll need to copy and paste, no links or emails for 7 days they say.
