Eric,
Thats exactly what I've been thinking. But, for $500 delivered for a complete AE86 which was running, hah. Its not bad. He did send me some pics of it but, they were at night and he used someones headlights to shine on the car. You can see some damage on the front fender. I will finalize the deal once he sends me some quality pictures so I can actually assess the damage.

DT,

Yes, thats it.
I'm pretty stoked, IF everything works out. He did agree to the $500 so, that much is out of the way.
Will do. He said he would have hive sister take some today. We'll see.

Fender is easily replaced. Hopefully it's not damaged too far past that into the body. Post pics when you get em!

Thats what I figured and wasnt too worried about it.

I did notice some damage behind the passenger door handle.

I will, IF I ever get them.

Again on the door or body? My hatch has some NASCAR damage around the driver tail light. Maybe when I get the car painted, I will actually fix that lol.

Yeah, I overlooked it because they are so damn hard to find.

I sent him a text again asking for those pics so I can assess the damage and be prepared for what needs to be done.

I'm starting to think twice about this whole deal, especially since he is not producing any pics.
This is aggrivating

500 delivered is pushing it, but it would be great to get another AE86 back on the road.

I agree with Eric although Tig he did mention that he would take $350 for it...? So not sure if he's saying $500 because he would be delivering it there but your call. IF I could I would get it simply for the parts. But my girlfriend would castrate me.

Thanks DT, thank you very much, I appreciate it.

I hate to say this but, he had sent me those. He seems to be avoiding daylight pics, hah. He did say in that text he would take $350 for it to. The extra was for delivery fees.

I agree 100%, $500 is pushing it even for it being delivered. I'm not too sure if this is the right car or not. Like Eric said, it would be nice to get it up and running but, then we have the time involved to get it back to that point.

I dont know guys, I'm on the fence about this.

Well, to my surprise he returned my text. Offering me some new pictures in the daylight. When I get them, I will post them up.

8Ton,
I believe he was replacing the wheel bearings and brakes. At least that's what it says in his ad.

I thought he pulled the motor? My theoretical offer just dropped to $300 BTW. Those bullet holes after the passenger door is a shade tree attempt to straightened the quarter panel. What other hacks did he do?

On the plus side, I do have a clean black shift boot you could use. cheers

He started to pull the motor. I told him to stop.
I agree, even being delivered. Not sure he will though.
Yes, thats exactly what he said. Its a bad attemp at pulling the dent out.
That seems to be the only one so far. This is how he received it.

I'll take it, hah.

No pictures of the passenger tail light area, and I don't think I like the look of the trunk.

On the other hand, this is no different from any other Corolla: they are ALL money pits lol. Even a clean one with a good motor still needs wheels, suspension, big exhaust, crazy cam(s), upgraded carb(s) lol.

I had just requested a picture of the rear quarter, hah.

Thats funny, I was thinking the same thing. That was, until he shared some information with me pale
I had asked if there was any rust. He said, only where the holes are, thats fine, othewise no. Then he informs me of what the previous owner did, he replace both frame rails Suspect HUH?????? He had mentioned they are meant to be replaced. Is this correct?
I responded back."that doesnt sound good at all"

Speaking of upgrading. Where do you guys get your aftermarket parts from? wheel, suspension, crazy cams and carbs? Exhaust would be my department Very Happy

You could probably offer the 300 and even part it out and make more off of it if needed. I would buy a few things. Hell of you don't take it Tig I'll ask him to part some stuff out for me. Laughing

I'm definately going to offer him less. But, I dont plan on parting it out. I do plan on stripping it down. I have a few months to work on it and make sure its road worthy
and do some things I want to do Wink . If you need something let me know. I told him I would be in touch with him tomorrow or the next day.
