hey guys I made a new guy thread but I just found this by accident. I have an 83 AE71 5 speed. I love it, I hope I can learn a lot from you guys.

I switched from hondas due to the theft problem. Hopefully all the JDM rust scares away any potential thieves.

No plans to switch out the 4AC, just do some maintenance.

I am pretty sure the clutch is slipping (never felt one slip before but im guessing this is it) and theres a incredibly loud noise when accelerating which i think is a bearing or the clutch.

Hi,
New to all this. Never owned a Toyota but am a fan of 4 cylinder 5 speed rear drive cars. Actually any rear drive car is what I'm about.
Lookin at an 87 SR5 now, hoping things work out.
This is a cool site, its nice to see a site dedicated to the 4AC.

Well, I'm sure I'll be talking with some of you.

But everything has mellowed out now am I've started where I left off with my 4ac car. Well ok its not a car yet. Its just an engine thats on a stand in my garage right now. Anyways thats all for now.. Smile Ill keep updating the "Build thread" I started many moons ago as I tool along.

Hello all the way from South Africa,

I recently got me a KE20 Corolla and wil be fitting a 4AC motor to it.
I registered here to learn more about the 4AC as I plan on doing a few
small mods just to liven it up a bit.

Hoping to learn alot about cam options for the 4AC.

Cheers,
