Hey everyone! My apologies in advance to the moderators if this is in violation of any of the forum rules.

I stumbled upon this petition a while back while researching smog rules for my AE86:

Petition to Reinstate California's 30 Year Smog Exemption

Basically it is trying to bring back CA's "rolling" smog law, which made cars that are 30 years old smog exempt.

I'm sure a lot of us classic Toyota guys would love this to happen

It feels a bit naive in a way to think that CA would change its smog laws, but the petition only takes a minute to sign so why not?

Wouldent ever work. California is trying to take old cars off the road. Changing that smog law again would keep a lot of old beaters going. I wish it would change my self, Id be exempt in a few years driving around with 4AGZE smoking Hondas

I stumbled upon this a few days ago. The bill failed on 4/10/2012 with a 4 to 3 vote, but just seeing this bill makes me very hopeful!
