New AE86 Article!!

This is an article about the car that is supposed to the new AE86, but will probably be a Scion in the US if what I have read in the past is true.

Hard to tell what it will look like from that but there are lots of pictures of the FT-86 concept car around.

I have seen lots of conjecture about when and if it will come out and artists rendering. This is the first I have seen where they show actual pictures (albeit disguised) and seem to be positive that it is coming out. I was more interested in the fact that it seems to be a go rather than the pictures.

well there s a lot of articles alot of pictures
but i think is a strategy nothing is real
is just marketing

the new AE86 ?well that depends on toyota

toyota wants to sell alot of cars
thats their business

i think very siriously will be a coupe and saloon version
of a luxury toyota tomake more sells

if u want a sport version
that depends in a lot of stuff

toyota is not gonna make anew AE86 just for us(not $$$$)

and for 15000$ too much
aluminium and power is not good

i think too much stories and rumours and etcetc
to distract us but at the same time to gain info and see if make conmotion

but i hope this "new AE" has a strong N/A engine( to tune like hondas)
and a super new STD suspension
and around 15 000$ is good

i hope to get some money in 2011 ,tobuy one

Yeah, I have read some of the articles, that one you linked to is not a picture of a real car though. It looks like an artists rendering to me. The other articles that I saw had similar things but no pictures of real cars. It's not too dificult to get an artist to knock up a picture for you, but it's another thing altogether to knock up an actual car (wether or not the body looks like it's supposed to be in the end). Thats why I am encouraged that there is a real car. Plus this article came from SEMA, and every time they show these spy shots the car does eventually come out. Of course it still is to be seen as to wether the car is any good or not like you say. It might be as boring as a Camry or Highlander.

with several tips nearto the old and famous and loved HACHIROKU

we better have some $$$$
cause this car will sold out

i personaly buy it after chek the SPECS
and i hope kind of cheap

Most modern cars these days with the exception of a select few, are UGLY!
The trend with manufacturers, produce big round vehicles that all look similar.

It's nice to know though, that Toyota is developing a sports car under 20,000.

i've seen the ft-86 concept many of times and i love its lines, the curves just give it that perfect look. if i actually had the money to get it, i'll throw a full custom lip kit on it, pure black hood, offset rims, and run itb's " dreams indeed"... i think toyota is getting back on it;s a game.... now the supra needs to make a comeback to smash that GTR, lol

I'm sure Toyota could put together 5 of there current cars mixed them all together into one huge boat and badge it "Toyota Supra XR?1000" and add 50 more HP than the "GTR" and a little bigger Rotors/calipers and whaaamm....another great car killed.

The RX8 and GTR shouldn't have never came out...its been said once people test drove them there was ALOT of sad faces..I know a few:)

true... somebody might design the supra to look like a smaller LF-A..
