"60k on rebuilt engine" "tune-up last month" "new clutch" "takumi drift button"

| I'm heading out in about an hour to check out another sr5 ae86 or maybe 85? It has been swapped from a 4ac to a 3ac? what? it looks really clean in the pictures and guy guarantee it passes smog. so im wondering what would be needed to put a 4ac back under the hood? | |

All you need is a 4ac and all the tools... it is pretty much the same engine except for the displacement.

| I agree with you. I just picked up SR5 hatch that was in okay shape. Its AC was working and it had a clean title otherwise, everything else was in a project form.
I was also looking for GTS but was not able to find one that was suitable.
good luck!

I ended up picking up the one with the 3a svc, it's in decent shape only minor surface rust around the gas door. the body is about the straightest i had seen. the interior looks 20+ years old but its all there, ac no work, new wheels and tires lowered on no name springs. motor/carb needs tuning, exhaust needs a couple of hangers, don't like the ride with the springs too low for my taste. driver door doesn't open from the outside and passenger is going out, pulls slightly to the right. fuel and oil pressure gauges not working properly. the 3ac is a guttless wonder reminds me of the time i rented a echo! i am going to do a tune up and have the carb and timing adjusted next week as well as check out the suspension and replace whatever needs it, alignment check the brakes and fix the exhaust. having my cousin check the doors today. after that it will be just upgrading the suspension, brakes and rearend leaving the 3ac in place till it craps out or i find a sweet deal on a 4ac
