| My Corolla was in the room when I opened that link, and when he saw the slideshow with the "AE86"s he started weeping and ran from the room...
Needless to say, I think he's a bit upset that all of these cars from Scion, Subaru, and Toyota keep showing up and trying to tell him that he's their dad. | |

| That's funny! I think this is the best version of it so far but can't imagine a production car actually looking like it. Also, I think of all the real 86's I could buy for 25k if I had 25k. | |

| Toyota didn't retain any of the original lines. And really, who's going to be interested in this car unless they already know what an AE86 is. I think some of the large attraction of the AE86 was it's lines and simplicity. This is car is so flashy and think it's more looks over function. | |

| A lot of that flash will never see production. Single lug wheels, inside-out brakes, LEDs everywhere, what looks like a carbon fiber lower diffuser under the rear apron. On a side note, I've shown some pics to ny wife, who said it looked neat. But more important is what she didn't say. She told me an M3 is too expensive, RX8 too weird, 370Z too impractical, but FT-whatever-it-is-this-week is neat. So I take that as a green light! Gotta fish my 86 and sell my Camry by the end of the year and I'll have one; just in time to bring a newborn home. | |

| The first thing I did is show it to my wife also. She seemed interested I'm just dreaming though. | |
