Here's what the car looked like when I 1st got it back in late december. I had the car for about 1 1/2 months and have done a lot in that short time.

I hand sanded it down and took fenders, hood, trunk, door trim, etc. Off to prime for paint. Half way through the painting I get rained on so the rolla looked like a cop car lol. After the delay I finished the job, picked up these side skirts off a buddy and also the JDM rear mud guards which didn't fit the USDM rear bumper but made 'em work lol. Dissasembled the stock gauge cluster and installed LED lights to light up the speedo and rpm gauges better. Wired them to the dimmer switch so they are legit haha.

Also rechased open beam projector headlights and installed 8k HID system. Still need one celica/supra rim but will be getting panasport knock offs with tires this week, I also have a 240sx. And still debating which car I want the new shoes on lol..

Took off the stock hood(too heavy!!) And installed my friends old carbon fiber hood, yesterday I painted the rims gold and kept the lip polished,

My income tax should be here soon and i want to fix the carb, there is a air leak somewhere because I noticed the butterfly has to be almost completely closed to run, and when running it feels too underpowered than normal, I heard from people with webers carbs they can eaily climb up to freeway speeds but this one struggles.

That's impressive man. It's good to meet you.

How is the car mechanically? Would you mind throwing up an engine bay shot?

Saw the 240 in the background, looks nice as well.

Yeah sure probably after work I can get a pic of the engine bay. Thanks for the compliment, I had a 84 sr5 hatch back in 05. That I converted to gts but had to sell, so I just. Had to take this car again, to finish something I love haha. I currently need to replace the main seal behind the tranny due to a oil leak but other than that no overheat problems what so ever which I'm super glad about., acording to SickIntentions it has a rebuilt engine.

Yeah, my 1984 is the "Sport" model, so it has a GT-S interior basically. And pretty much power everything, but no sunroof thank God. It is going to take a lot of love, time, and money to get it sorted out though, but I'm going to restore the interior/exterior and upgrade the engine. I've spent too many years waiting to fix it so I know I'll never be able to use it as a drift car. When I finally moved it to Oregon I saw a dent that wasn't there before and it almost made me physically ill, haha.

Just got gifted an 85 GT-S from a friend, but I am going to tear it down for parts.

I just got these brand spankin' new rims and tires dismounted the tranny and changed the ring for the main seal, but had complications with the throw out bearing.. seems like its not in all the way so I have to drop the tranny once again, so I. Closed up shop and left my baby to rest overnight while I wash up and release the frustration, so Sunday my car should be running top notch! Yay!!!
Also Friday I had the webers carb rebuilt and replaced the fuel filter and noticed a weird humming noice coming from one of the canisters by the engine, it comes on everynow and then, but doesn't effect anything. I live by adams go cart track in riverside and been awaiting the day to go on the track, I'm stayin away from mountains for the moment, unless they are local, suprisingly my 4ac is feeling a lot more powerful, haha.. well 8pm and I'm going to bed lol....24 turning 50 signin out lol

Finally... I think I am finished for the moment.
From Friday morning til the afternoon of Sunday I have been rigorously building my frankenstien lol . I started the weekend off by having the webers carburetor rebuilt, then also replaced the fuel filter since the carb was practically new. Purchase a set of new rims wrapped in falken ziex's and decided to fix the rear main seal since it was on jacks anyway lol.

To be honest, it wasn't hard, just boring lol epsecially when your throw out bearing falls out of place and you have to dismount the tranny again lol. But all in all it was cake, while I was down there I noticed a downpipe bolt was loose, which was causing an exhaust leak, I replaced both gaskets on the downpipe(2.99 ea at autozone) and put it all back together and now she is as powerful if not more than the day I got her, also rewired the carbs ground and power to the stock toyota wiring harness, dunno why but it was wired all wrong and wasn't getting good power. The car is perfect, and all it needs is a nice paint and clear coat and she is done lol, well untill I get more cash lol

Looks great dude, glad your happy! Smile

Are those König Rewinds? Both of my friends had Rewinds on their hatches, one of them was running a staggered set iirc. Good call on the Falkens, drove a friends track car with them and they felt really nice. I would love a set of Rewinds for my coupe, but I can't stop looking at the König B.Bombs... (The friend that has the Falken tires has them wrapped on a set of gunmetal B.Bombs XD)

Yeah man, looks damn good. Glad to hear another one back from the dead and being driven the way it should. I'm still working on mine.
Tax money isn't coming back fast enough for me!
Paint question:
Did you spray it with a gun or can and what paint did you use?
I'm getting the body sorted and paint is the last thing on the list. I'm going white for now I think, just wondered what you used because it looks pretty good from what I can see.
Nice ride! Cool

Had an excellent time at Adams Gocart Track last night, for being my 1st time I think I did good for a 70 hp car lol, 1st lap ran 59, 2nd - 57, 3rd - 56, and last a 55 sec lap. Next week imma try to improve under 50seconds but that's a big jump lol. Here's a small clip my friend took from his cellphone, ill have better footage soon.

Buying a welded rear this week, and going to loose some car weight lol.

Took my coupe to adams drift night yesterday and ended up smashing my front bbumper lol damn tires hahaha, but after that it was great, actually got to drift the "big corner" and pretty much all the corners in seperate runs. Ill post some videos tonight. A driver that owned a 350z wanted to show me a finger or 2 about drifting but he was completely lost when he took the wheel lol,"I don't know how your doing it with no power or ebrake but your doing it better than me" lol hahaha turtle props lol...
