| What's this "conversion" you're speaking of? The coupe GTS and SR5 lights are identical, the only difference is a piece of black trim that goes on the trunk-lid but actually has nothing to do with the lights themselves. If you have an early model and want to put late model lights on your car, that requires a heavy amount of bodywork to accommodate the reverse lights. | |

| Look very closely at where my reverse lights are: There is an extra hole in the rear of the car just for those lights on late-models. It doesn't exist on the early model. There are also 2 extra screw holes. I'm sure that doesn't sound like a big deal, a few extra holes right? But no, the sheet metal is stamped differently. There's a lot of work involved and unless you're an experienced body-man, you're not going to get those lights to bolt up properly let alone seal against the rain or a car wash. There's no such thing as a zenki-kouki conversion when you own a coupe. Besides, the JDM "redline" coupe tail lights are a beautiful thing no matter which model you own. Look them up. Look to spend $300 at least if you can even get your hands on them; far rarer than hatch lights. Some "zenki" redlines: | |
