I was wondering if they would make it for 2 barrel carb. If so, that would be awesome.

I think you're misreading this. It's not a fuel-injected carburetor, it's a conversion kit to make your carbureted car fuel-injected. The carburetor is removed completely and this kit replaces it. It's just like putting Megasquirt or some other stand-alone ECU and a throttle body on your car. Also, EFI means Electronic Fuel Injection so saying "EFI fuel injection" is the same thing as saying Electronic fuel injection fuel injection.

GM did years ago. They called it "TBI" or "Throttle Body Injection"... I havent tried it, and know no one who has, but its possible to go to a junk yard, pick up a TBI unit from say an S10 or other and simply wire it up with a Megasquirt.

Makes sense right?

My first car(a Cavalier, who woulda knew right?) had TBI. I can't see anyone thinking there's some benefit to it. It was just a band-aid for fuel and emissions regulations because they were too cheap and lazy to develop a real EFI system. WWII tech will suffice, right? Shit, they're still too lazy to develop a decent EFI system, that's why Corvette and Cadillac use Bosch.

Some one on here did do a TBI set up with a megasquirt. I think it was Procraz, and I don't think he ran it for very long. Probably not much better than a 32/36 Weber and most likely a lot more work. Only way I could see bothering would be for a turbo set up so you don't have to deal with making a carb work with boost, and in that case I think it's a pretty good idea.

The Mitsubishi Starion also has TBI... if you really want to try it, that might be worth a shot too

That was my first thought as well, especially for a forced induction application. With the air flow sensor you would not have to do any tuning. The only issue would be how the ignition works. If it does not have any computer ignition control that would be the easiest thing to deal with. If it has an old fashioned distributor with one tooth per cylinder for the pick up coil, then you would probably be OK for using the 4AC or 3AC distributor with the Starion module for computer controlled timing. If it has more teeth on the distributor wheel / crankposition wheel it would be more difficult to get it to work. I did read someone saying that the Starion injection was the worst injection he had ever worked with, but I don't know if the guy knew what he was talking about. You had one didn't you Glock?

Yeah... but didn't mess with the injection stuff. The only thing I had issues with was that I had to change the electrical connectors for the injectors. I had that car for 3 years, and drove if for a total of about 4 months in that time. I however do have a fair amount of experience with the bottom end of that motor. =S I never messed with the ignition or fuel injection. Though I think I still have a spare ignition module and distributor if anyone wants to tinker with it.
