Hi guys, This is a solenoid valve activated electronically when you start the A/C, this lets pass vacuum to an activator that accelerates the car in order to compensate the loss of power, above 2000rpm the solenoid is automatically shut down because it is no longer needed.

If the A/C is off the solenoid remains closed with a spring inside. if the A/C is turned on the solenoid fights the spring and lets the vaccum pass to the activator on the carburetor.

This is not working for me, ...

Recently I purchased two 10in electric fans to replace the clutch fan that was on my engine. I have an AE86 and the fan clutch was going out so I figured why throw another junkyard fan clutch on the car when I can install something newer. I wanted one of the fans to work with a temp switch and the other a normal switch (for heavy use or the nasty heat waves) The one on a normal switch I wired to a relay and just used a switch to kick the relay on. The temp switch was a little more tricky. First ...

For those looking for a racing aplication, with a MUCH stronger and more controlable spark, this might be the setup for you. There is more that can be done for race modification that I will cover later. This mod will also work on your daily driver with pump gas as well. My car has been not running for a week now and its driving me crazy. I set the crank to TDC, and I'm able to get the car idling. However when I revv the motor, I can feel that its not quite right I can feel the motor trying to "catch" and that I advanced the timing too far. I've been playing with the distributor timing for a week now and ...

I was wanting brighter brake lights. My car uses 1157 bulbs but after searching for alternatives on the internet I came across the 2357 bulb. This bulb has the same taillight intensity as the 1157 but has a brighter brake light. The downside is that its lifetime is only a third that of the 1157 bulb. I decided the benefit of brighter brakes would outweigh the cost of replacing bulbs more frequently. Here are a couple pictures so others can decide if it's worth it to them. The first pic ...

Last night i would just pump the gas twice turn the key and it starts right up. Im thinking due to being on my driveway uphill slightly fuel cant get to the carb. Engine does turn, i pump the gas a few times and it seems to start but not completely. Like the feeling that it wants to die, so i pump the gas pedal and it seems to kinda work but it just dies.
DIY Wiring Guide

For anyone doing any custom rewiring, I found this GM manual. It's for the people that convert GM trucks and vans into motorhomes and dump trucks and things of that nature. It gives some pretty good info about good wiring practice, sizing new wires, and GM connectors. GM connectors like Weatherpack and Metripack are easy to get (and crimp tools), I am planning on using them on my Microsquirt harness.

you can see it in this diagram, right above the EGR

http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_U_1986_TOYOTA_COROLLA_AE86L-ECPXCK_1708.6.html

i see that one end connects to the vacuum line, which comes from the T above the "intake manifold gas filter"

but where does the other end go? an electrical component of some sort?
